Description:

The 16th Annual Fall Forum for Free Health Care Programs is sponsored by the MMS Committee on Senior Volunteer Physicians for collegial sharing of ideas, experiences and challenges faced while supporting one other.

A wonderful benefit of giving back is the positive impact on both the mental and physical health for the volunteer. Many health care professionals find happiness and deep satisfaction in volunteering at places like community health clinics and free health care programs in underserved and uninsured communities.

Join us to deep dive into the art of giving back. Topics include:
  • The “Happiness Formula” and the four traits of happy people
  • Making a unique difference volunteering at free health care programs
  • Joy of advocating for immigrants in a climate of fear
The keynote speaker is Sanjiv Chopra, MD, an internationally known thought leader, author, speaker and former faculty dean at Harvard Medical School.

Maryanne Bombaugh, MD, MSc, MBA, FACOG, president of the Massachusetts Medical Society, will provide a Special Address.

Sahdev Passey, MD, will be presented with the 2019 MMS Senior Volunteer Physician of the Year Award.
