How to Submit a Resolution

How to Submit a Resolution

Wednesday, March 12 is the deadline for resolutions. All MMS members are encouraged to submit resolutions for consideration by the House of Delegates. All resolutions (on time and late) must be submitted via email to resolutions@mms.org in the template provided at massmed.org/resolutions and include all required information on the template. There will be no exceptions made. Resolutions not submitted in the template with the required information will not be accepted and you will be notified so that you can resubmit, by the deadline, in the template.

We strongly recommend that you get input on your draft resolution from your district or the appropriate MMS committee before submitting your resolution. For more information on submitting a resolution please visit massmed.org/resolutions. For questions, please contact Annemarie Tucker, Senior Manager, Governance Policy Administration, at atucker@mms.org or at (800) 322-2303 ext. 7332.

We encourage you to watch this brief video about how to write a resolution: Massachusetts Medical Society: Resolution Writing Guidance.

Late-Filed Resolutions and Reports

The deadline for late resolutions is April 15, 5:00 p.m. Late resolutions must be reviewed by the Committee on Late and Deferred Resolutions for specific criteria outlined in the MMS Procedures of the House of Delegates.
