The Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) may, at its own discretion, enter into joint providership with a non-accredited provider when a submitted activity aligns with the MMS Continuing Medical Education Mission Statement and the joint provider agrees to abide by all policies of the MMS as outlined in the MMS Joint Providership Agreement.
Submitted educational activities must be designed to improve physician competence, performance, and/or patient outcomes. In addition, all potential joint providers must be familiar with the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited
Continuing Education.
To submit an activity for consideration of joint providership, please complete the Initial Application for Joint Providership.
Initial applications are reviewed within 1 to 2 weeks of receipt by the MMS continuing education team. Please note that you may be contacted for additional information. If your initial application is accepted, you will be informed of the associated
joint providership fee and provided the MMS CME Activity Planning Document and related materials for completion
and submission to the MMS Committee on Continuing Education Review.
The Committee reserves the right not to approve an activity for joint providership. For any questions regarding MMS joint providership, please contact Ms. Liza Martin, Manager, MMS Joint Providership Program at (781) 434-7301 or lmartin@mms.org.
