Who?
The applicant must be a student, resident, or fellow at the time of submission and be enrolled in one of the four Massachusetts medical schools or a Massachusetts hospital or training program.
What?
Each year the Massachusetts Medical Society’s Committee on Information Technology recognizes both a medical student and a member of the hospital house staff or training program for the creation of information technology solutions for medicine. The two
Medical Information Technology Awards are presented annually for functioning projects substantially completed in the past year that use technology to assist physicians in the practice of medicine, the teaching of medicine, or the pursuit of
clinical research. Preference will be given to innovative, non-commercial projects that are early in development; and, this year, additional preference will be awarded to projects focusing on healthcare disparities, barriers to care or diversity.
When and how?
If you are interested and intend to apply, please e-mail Leon Barzin (lbarzin@mms.org) as soon as possible and before the deadline of December 1, 2024. Full applications and videos are due by Sunday, January 5, 2025.
