November 2021
The Black Women in Medicine virtual daylong conference, established in partnership with Diva Docs Boston, convened leaders in medicine, public health, and policy to celebrate Black women in medicine, discuss strategies for building stronger bonds between
Black women and other women in medicine and health, and foster meaningful connections that empower individuals and their communities to realize their professional goals in spite of systemic frameworks that have traditionally served as barriers to
achievement. In addition to providing networking opportunities, the continuing medical education event explored the power of sisterhood, advice on navigating bias within the health care system, and a call to action to support trainees underrepresented
in medicine.
