Massachusetts Medical Society: Leading with Impact: Empowering Women Physicians for Leadership Roles

Leading with Impact: Empowering Women Physicians for Leadership Roles

Jointly Provided by the Daniel Hanley Center for Health Leadership

Women's Leadership Program

Overview

Women physicians continue to make remarkable strides in achieving equitable leadership representation in health care. However, a recent McKinsey study reported that while women comprise 75 percent of the workforce, only 32 percent hold the C-suite level, and only 4 percent are women of color, indicating that more improvement is necessary.

The MMS is collaborating with the Daniel Hanley Center for Health Leadership to offer a dynamic program tailored for busy women physicians like you who are interested in elevating their leadership potential in any health care setting. This small-group, virtual format offers you the unique opportunity to reflect, learn, and share in a trusted space to accelerate applied learning in various topics, including leadership styles, communication tools, emotional intelligence, and inclusion. You will gain greater clarity and confidence in yourself to take on more leadership responsibilities and lead teams to thrive.

Don’t wait. Now is the time to invest in you.

You will learn the following skills:

  1. How to identify your communication style and build upon your strengths to foster collaboration, trust, and stakeholder buy-in

  2. How to increase emotional intelligence and empathy to create impactful and meaningful alliances and connections

  3. How to apply new competencies to build a community and a culture of inclusion and equity
